While maybe okay for small parts, i wouldnt trust that spray tack on larger stuff or things that see more stress. Like say someone had a wing they wanted to skin. A coating of spray tack is a weak temporary removable barrier that now prevents your epoxy from actually bonding to the surface of your item. Plus anything sitting out in the hot sun where the item continually expands and contracts every day of the week would, over time, probably delaminate the carbon fiber away from the surface of the below item being that item is coated with flimsy spray tack. 😬😒🙄

I think it would have helped if you knew what you were doing! Not to mention you 3D printed molds looked distorted. You need to inflate a bladder inside the carbon tube, before putting the molds together, make sure the carbon is sitting as it should with some air in the bladder. No wrinkles, folds, creases. Actually fuck the carbon tube, fuck the adding of resins. Go flat cloth, pre impregnated carbon, lay it up in your molds and bake in the oven.

I think it would have been easier to have made a second hole to inflate a tube or balloon or something inside the sleeves to force them to expand while the epoxy was curing. Would had made the inside of the tubes more free flowing. Mainly, just would have been faster. Also, would have been a single piece instead of 2 separate pieces epoxy together.

Could have gotten a piece of styrofoam.and shaped it to what you need wrap it with carbon fiber then remove the foam with acetone simple without all those extra steps

Two words: LOCATING PINS. You cannot rely on the vacuum to expand the inner tube, I would use something like a motorbike innertube then you can get a very good pressure into it.
